Lately I’ve been positively consumed by the color green. I’ve never been one of those people who said “green!” when asked what my favorite color is. To be honest, green has never even been a close second…or third….or fourth…. Anyways, lately, I’m obsessed. can’t get enough of it. I guess I’m finally “going green”.
In honor of Saint Patrick’s day and my wanting you to love green in the capacity that I do I have compiled some inspiration. And wouldn’t you know I even included a rainbow at the end! …and of course a pot of gold…
We’ll start the tour with where I’m from. Maybe my growing up in the mountains is one of the reasons I crave it.
How cute is this butterfly and june bug having a date on this flower? Presh.
I hate bugs but this silhouette was pure art. Biggest spider I have EVER seen.
While we are on insects check out this katydid/grasshopper that clung for dear life to my windshield wiper one day. This little guy survived 7 miles before being blown away in the wind. The minute I saw him I thought “sometimes you’re the windshield, sometimes you’re the bug” anyone remember that Mary Chapin Carpenter song?
I snapped these watermelons at Terry’s produce in Sylva, NC one summer. I love this picture…it just makes me want to kick my shoes off and slow down for a minute.
This is a shot of the bridesmaid’s bouquets from our weddings. I told the florist I wanted something “organic”. I think he did a brilliant job of achieving that feel.
I snapped this photo last summer at a putt putt course and I love so much about it. It speaks summertime and primary colors…can’t ever have enough color wheel type pictures 🙂
Moving on… when we moved we of course had to make sure the yard was suitable for our fur babies. I can’t wait for the grass to turn green again and for the trees to get their leaves back. Everything feels so naked right now…
And we had to bring some of the outdoors inside when I purchased my white bird of paradise we talked about in this post (still alive y’all!)
Bringing green indoors– my visit to IKEA last week had me thinking we could put a green couch in the living room.
I even think this green bedroom is dramatic and dreamy and magnificent.
We have to put in a closet when we do the master bedroom remodel and I definitely am crushing on this!
and yumm..these green curtains. DRAMA.
I would be remiss if I didn’t add the most important green sign of all….
And even more remiss if I didn’t share a rainbow on St. Patty’s day…
(yup…he’s THAT organized)
These brussell sprouts are the best ones you’ll ever eat.
They will make you a brussell sprout believer! And there’s that pot of gold I promised… Those are goat cheese balls…they are soooooo good. If you are ever in Greenville, SC and have the privilege to eat the food be sure to visit Lazy Goat!
I’m on a plane to Texas as I write this tonight and I’m hopeful I will find some exciting things to share this week! Hope everyone has a great Monday and I hope no one was pinched today! (I don’t own any green clothing…shocking right???)
